The Kenwood MC-90 is a desktop microphone with two interchangeable microphone capsules with approx. 250 Ω impedance. The standard capsule offers a relatively even recording over the frequency range of about 200 to 12000 Hz. This capsule is well suited for all kinds of radio connections and modern transceivers with built-in equalizer. The second speech capsule has a clear treble boost in the range of approx. 1000 to 3000 Hz and thus offers a much more striking voice recording, which is particularly well suited for DX and contest operation.
